Do Not Call Registry Policy for Residential Calls
When making residential calls, never leave a message or use the voicemail drop.
While we scrub all residential leads, a customer might claim to be on the Do Not Call (DNC) Registry.
If a customer tells you they are on the DNC list:
- Do not argue with them.
- Politely apologize and let them know their number will be removed from our list.
- Suggest they visit DoNotCall.gov to ensure their registration is current.
Complying with the National Do Not Call Registry is a top priority, and we expect all Agents and Brokers to adhere to this policy.
Can a Business be on the Do Not Call Registry?
No, a business cannot be on the National Do Not Call Registry. The registry is specifically designed for personal residential and wireless phone numbers. The purpose of the registry is to protect individuals from unwanted telemarketing calls at home, not to shield businesses from commercial communications.
In short, a business cannot register its number on the National Do Not Call Registry, but they can still ask individual callers to stop calling them.
